Tiggy's fishing history

I have been lucky enough to grow up on The Usk , I think I was four when I caught my first trout on my own, and have been fishing ever since.I have been lucky enough to fish a number of Scottish rivers such as The Spey, The Helmsdale, The Brora, The Nith and The Oykle and have caught quite a few salmon! The best day I have had so far was 8 salmon including a 21lbs, 17 in three days including 2 21lbs. Fishing is the most magically wonderful pastime you can do, when a fresh 10lbs salmon takes your fly oh boy it the best fun !

I have now taken both my Provisional Trout and Salmon instructors exams and passed!! I am now a  member of AAPGAI!!! I am taking my Advanced Salmon in October so fingers crossed!

"It is disconcertingly easy to feel home from home at Tyr Chanter.  If only all welcomes were as toasty warm and all chocolate brownies as scrumptious.  Tiggy's ad in The Field caught my eye: maybe she was the one to reinspire this mum's and dad's hopelessly amateur fly fishing and possibly kindle some interest from their 5 and 9 year old daughters.  She was.   By lunchtime we had two children utterly smitten by her infectious enthusiasm and beside themselves with joy having hooked two trout apiece.  They were having HUGE FUN!  Equally fascinating, if less edible, were their ice cream tub hauls of nymphs and shrimps from the river's edge with Tiggy's perfectly pitched voice over.   They went to bed that evening with tummies full of fish, having requested an account of the natural history of brown trout as a bedtime story.  I think we'll be playing this game again ... Thanks Tiggy for the most lovely 24 hours"
