Ty’r Chanter makes an ideal base for exploring the Brecon Beacons and the National Park. There are 30 hills of 2000+ feet within easy reach, and we can advise on walks in the Beacons which will take you off the beaten track. The Park provides opportunities for cycling, sailing, pony trekking, golf, gliding – the list is endless.
There are many opportunities for horse riding close by where you can enjoy the spectacular scenery with highly experienced guides who cater for every level of expertise. The Rivers Usk and Wye are some of the finest fishing rivers in Wales and both run through the Brecon Beacons with permits purchasable in Brecon, Abergavenny or the Gliffaes Hotel just below us. Closer to home we also have four miles of our own fishing on the River Usk that is available to take on a daily basis.
